Being able to download movies at once to your computer is a cool thing.  No more waiting in line at the video store.  In spite of this, downloading can cause you some big tribulations if you are not watchful so you need to be alert of probable problems that can occur.

However, being careless about your downloading can lead to critical issues with your computer, such as a range of types of malfunctions, viruses and identity theft.  Here are seven things that are significant for you to consider before you start downloading.

1. Make sure that your security software is up-to-date.  It is only of use when it is activated and updated and your subscription does have an ending date.  Make sure that all of your fees have been paid.

2. Be meticulous of your password.  If you use the same straightforward password for virtually everything you are putting yourself at danger for identity theft.  Use variations combining letters, numbers and punctuation symbols.  Try to use at least 8 digits.

3· Be vigilant of free software downloads.  A small amount of things in life are essentially free of charge so you could be putting your computer at jeopardy for adware, malware and spyware, all of which can cause you great problems.  If you do need to download freeware, just make sure that you use a of good standing site.

4· Do not click on any entrenched link in an email.  If you want to go to the site, type it into your browser.  Embedded weblinks can permit the sender to gain access to your account and it can lead to identity theft.

5· No one is unaffected to phishing scams.  Mac’s are just as vulnerable as a PC.  Be conscious and don’t take chances.

6. Avoid clicking on any pop-up.  You can always enable your pop-up blocker if you are getting too many but do not open them.  If you do you are setting yourself up for problems.

7· Use a specialized and individual credit card for all online purchases.  If there are problems you will be able to check the actual damage by knowing exactly which card you used.  Debit cards are also less safe than actual credit cards online, too.

Did you know that your online movie downloading experience will be much more agreeable if you avoid any possible tribulations?  Be wary downloading.
