Start by deciding where on your wall you wish to position your LCD TV screen and then measure the distance between the screw holes vertically on the mount.You should then go and mark the location of the studs with a sharp pencil.The height at which you position your mount is entirely your decision.Most LCD TV mounts are hung at eye level to the centre line however some may prefer mounting a tilted mount slightly higher than eye level.

Next you will then need to mark the desired height of the wall bracket with another pencil mark so that you will know where each screw will be placed.  It is essential that you use a spirit level at this stage so that you won’t be hanging the mount at an angle.  As with any DIY job you should measure at least twice to ensure accuracy.

Make sure that you drill the heavy gauge screws only part way into your wall.These kind of heavy duty screws will help handle the weight of the mount as well as the LCD TV.Before you tighten up all the screws and hang the mount check once more that they are all perfectly level.

Don't hang up the TV on the mount until you have plugged the cables in the TV.It's a safe idea to have another person come to help you hang it as they tend to be quite heavy.If your Television requires more assembly before hanging it up then refer to the instructions that came with it.

The first step is to decide where you want to place it.  Place it on the wall which will give you the best viewing position, being careful that it wont reflect any natural light coming in from nearby windows.Do make sure that you take into account the dimensions of the room as well as the overall size of your television.Placing the LCD TV above a fireplace can be considered a popular option although logistically this can be awkward due to wires running from the TV.

Once you have decided the best place for your TV you should then use a tape measure and spirit level to centre the TV on the wall.  The next task is to take the mounting bracket so that you can mark the general area where it should go.  Also accurately mark the location of where the wall screws will go.  

Next you should lay a soft cloth onto the floor and place your LCD TV onto it with the reverse side facing up.It is a good idea to connect up the cables to your TV whilst it is on the floor as the rear can be very awkward to access once it has been mounted onto the wall.  Secure the mounting bars to the TV using the threaded holes on the TV and appropriately sized bolts.  Don’t overtighten these bolts but do make sure that they are secure.  Once this has been done you can mount the TV onto the wall bracket and it should be safe and secure.  To be on the safe side you should get someone to help you with the lifting as these TVs can be quite heavy.
